Printers

The printers listed on this page are free to anyone who wants or needs them. They are available under two conditions: promise me you won't resell them and you have to come pick them up.
I don't include installation. If you need help with installation, I charge my hourly rate.

Item Notes
DJ610cl (111K) HP Deskjet 610CL This is a nice mid-sized printer. It's a little aged but is clean, quiet and smooth operating. It only connects via a parallel cable which I'll give you. There's nothing other than that - no manual, no installation CD but drivers are available online - that's how I installed it. There is no test page to show you - the ink cartridges are dried up. Here's the HP hype and here's what others say.
PSC1210 (395K) HP PSC 1210 This is a small-footprint all-in-one printer (not exactly "all" - there is no fax capability). It's not very old. A little dusty, there is an occasional problem feeding paper. The rollers probably need a little cleaning. Uses USB to connect to a computer(not included). The disk has drivers for 98, ME, 2000 and XP. I hooked it up to my Vista machine without the disk. It wouldn't scan (for lack of proper driver) but printed just fine. You can get drivers for contemporary OSs online here.
DJ6310 (378K)
HP OfficeJet 6310
This is a full-size, full-function printer, scanner, copier, and fax. It works well producing clean, crisp printouts but I think the ink is getting low. You can see the test page output: not all lines are printing completely. The CD has been lost but, like so many HP printers, this printer ran without it except scanning was a problem because of the absence of the drivers. Drivers should be available at HP's website.
