Free to good home
I have several pieces of computer and peripheral equipment that I don't use any more. Other items were given to me by people who don't use them either and might have otherwise discarded them. I don't want to dispose of them (even in an environmentally correct way) because, even if they are a little obsolete, most are fully functional working items. Some have limited functionality but maybe someone can use them anyway. I'm willing to give them away to a good home.
On the other hand, I also solicit items that are working or that perhaps I could repair or use for parts. I can't promise that they will end up with non-profit or charitable organizations and I might even keep them for myself. They will most likely appear on this page, however, available to anyone who asks for them.
If there's something here you could use or equipment that you
want to get rid of, contact me at
If you need any of this equipment for yourself, you're welcome to it. Please don't take the equipment to resell. Please don't ask for multiple items unless you can really use them. In other words, take what you need but need what you take. Don't be greedy.
Obviously, there is no warranty. Some items work like new. Other items were given to me because they were broken. If they are listed on this page then they work at least to a degree. I do guarantee that if any item does not perform to your satisfaction, you can simply bring it back or give it to someone else.
I don't ship anywhere. If you want something listed here, you'll have to come and get it.
Most of the items have a link you can click to see a photo or read specifications.
- There are quite a few printers so I made a separate
page.

Canon Canoscan LiDE 30
This is a neat little scanner. The light source is an LED. It draws all its power from the USB cable (not included). Slim, light weight, very portable!
Read about it here.
-
Dell E771a CRT Monitor.
The picture is very good. My photo of it shows a dark band across its face but that's an artifact of taking a photo of a TV (or monitor) screen. Here are the specs.
-
Gateway Vivitron CRT Monitor
I think Sony makes the Vivitron. The picture is very good. My photo of it shows a dark band across its face but that's an artifact of taking a photo of a TV (or monitor) screen. Gateway doesn't seem to have any specs - nor anyone else for that matter. It seems to be a 15" monitor but even so, I dare you to bench press this baby a few times. Make sure you have a sturdy table to put it on.

Sharp PV-6000 and Vadem C-1000 Handheld PC Pair.
This is a pair of handheld computers that are almost identical. They run Windows CE. One is the Sharp PV-6000 and the other is the Vadem C-1000 They use the same set of cables and, as I only have one set of them and the supporting accessories, rather than split them up - take the pair.
- Dell wireless keyboard &
mouse. I'm giving this away because I don't like the
key arrangement. I'm used to the old arrangement of the
Insert, Delete, Home, End, ... keys. I keep hitting the
wrong keys.
It's made by Dell but it should work with any computer with a USB port.
- Microtek Scanmaker E6
scanner. Includes ISA SCSI adapter (you may need a
PCI SCSI adapter). Drivers are on CD for Win 95/98/Me.
Package includes Ulead PhotoImpact 3.0.
- Assorted Components.
I've got working CD/DVD/CD-RW drives, internal modems, sound cards, video cards (nothing special), keyboards, 3-1/2" and 5-1/4" floppy drives, hard drives (in the single-digit GB range) and power supplies.
